Jaden’s Grace
Upon hearing her long-lost daughter is trapped in Mexico, Jaden Hawke contacts her lover, ex-CIA field officer, Stephan Peltzini. Lt. Drummond, the RAND Service, and detectives from San Diego P.D., join Pelztini to search for Jaden’s Grace.
Grace Sanchez is fleeing probation and suspicion that a Mexican cartel is after her and her father, as she crosses into Mexico at the San Ysidro border. When border agents notice she was born in Tijuana, she is sent to a detention center. After the RAND Service detectives hear a frantic message from Jaden Hawke’s daughter, they are reminded of the Gold Coins Case and kick-start a search and rescue operation.
Rand and Sparky, are reluctant to begin the search because they speak little Spanish and have no Border Patrol connections. When they call Jaden Hawke’s attorney, Kale Davenport suggests Stephan Peltzini might be helpful because he speaks several languages and has a military background. As a result, Peltzini and the detectives form a taskforce, determined to find Jaden’s Grace.

SOUL-TIE BLUES by Dianne Kaye
Soul-Tie, soul-tie, release me,
For I’ve been exposed to darkness.
Heal every piece of my broken heart.
Mend my fragile soul and set me free.
The first time I saw him, I fell in love.
Dressed in seductive black, dark eyes flashing,
Tall and becoming, the silver-haired Fox.
Request answered, sent from somewhere above.
Strangely familiar, like someone I knew,
As if we’d been together, in the past.
We promised each other to ride the waves
–As long as the excitement lasts.
We began as acquaintances, bent all the rules.
Moved from friends to lovers, forged a soul-tie.
Lies and betrayal soon took their toll,
Living the double life, playing the game of fools.
Hidden bondage revealed, love turned to hate,
We reached the point of no return.
Reality has spoken, it’s not meant to be.
Bonded by tragedy, separated by fate.
Soul-Tie, soul-tie, release me,
For I’ve been exposed to darkness.
Heal every piece of my fragmented heart.
Restore my trust and set my soul free.

SEARCHING FOR SOMEONE
By Dianne Kaye
I’m searching for someone who will share a life dream
Take me places to see what we can see
I’m looking for a partner to stand the weather
Someone with a kind and gentle heart
Who sees me for me
I dream of someone who likes walks on the beach
With a sense of humor and easy to reach
Pleasant to be around and lives in the moment
I’m looking for a place to bury the past
Knowing now is all we have
I’m searching for a Gardner, someone to plant seeds
Cultivate strong feelings and grow deep roots with me
Come to full bloom into love everlasting
Who says the words to make mistakes all right
And cradles me through long lonely nights
If ever that someone appears, I would reciprocate
Together, we could build something great
Based on the strengths we each bring
Leaders in what partners know
To take beyond this world when we go
I’m searching for someone who will share my life dream
Take me places to see what we can see
I’m looking for a partner to stand the weather
Someone with a kind and gentle heart
Who sees me for me

Book sequel tells a story of love, betrayal, guilt, faith and redemption
Dianne Kaye announces the release of ‘Resolution’
ROSEBURG, Ore. – Drawing inspiration from the many courageous people she met during 20 years of social services work, author Dianne Kaye pens a powerful and captivating tale in “Misled,” a suspenseful, action-filled drama that follows the character of Jade Anne whose encounter with an ex-lover compromised her physical and psychological safety. She is now back in its sequel, “Resolution” (published by Xlibris).
Three years have passed, and Nadine Jaden Hawke (a.k.a. Jade Anne) believes she has recovered from the trauma of betrayal, a murder trial and her efforts to break a negative soul-tie–until she receives a call from her attorney. Jaden is retriggered when she hears that three gold bracteates have been found in San Francisco, and she is forced to confront her past.
Newly appointed police inspector Sgt. Crystal Snow and investigative reporter Declan Stone believe the coins are connected to the old Seattle murder case. Lt. Mitchell Drummond and the RAND service track a suspicious antique dealer to the Mexican border while defense attorney Kale Davenport and Jaden’s ex-boyfriend Stephan Peltzini pursue the stolen Hawke family fortune. Does Stephan finally redeem himself in Jaden’s eyes?
“This story speaks to the down side of unhealthy relationships and the consequences of our own choices. Readers may be inspired by the courage that some of the characters displayed in this sequel,” Kaye says. Puzzled by the women who chose abusive men repeatedly and suffered negative consequences, Kaye discovered a religious concept called soul-ties, created through intimacy. “If a relationship involves escalating violence, a negative soul-tie is formed. Sometimes it takes determination, courage, and divine intervention to be free,” she adds.
An excerpt from the book:
Harkened back to a conversation she once had with a hospice nurse, Jaden recalled what the woman said. “Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!'”
